TPMS Shopping

I'm shopping around for a simple TPMS and after reading numerous details of a variety of brands, I'm curious about this: can you monitor your tire pressure while you're traveling? Maybe a stupid question but I came across this ...
" Although the driver can check for proper pressures while the vehicle is parked, only the TireTraker™ TT-500 can check for proper pressures while the vehicle is travelling, when most tire problems occur."

I recently installed the TST 507TPMSFT6 6 Flow Through Sensor Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Just completed 1,750 mile trip and monitored tire pressures and temperatures each morning and real time, while driving.

Never had to pull out the tire pressure gauge and was worth the cost for both safety and peace of mind. Found best price and customer service at:

Safe travels!

We have the TST as well.....really like this unit....accurately shows the tires pressure and temperature....which I was amazed to see increases as the miles pass....and the service has been excellent...the sensors batteries can be replaced easily by the owner....the sensors come with a tool that allows only the driver to take the sensor off so it can't be stolen......We've had ours for 3 years with no issues....

TST x 10 years, 2 rigs, saved me 3 x so far from punctures! GREAT customer service for any question. ABSOLUTELY works while driving, set it up for both coach (6 sensors) and toad (4). Worth every penny! ST

I just purchase an Tireminder TM-77 from Camping World and it works great, I was replacing my Hopkins unit who has discontinued the TMPS. Just make sure you purchase one that you can change the sensor batteries. Costly mistake I made.

Thanks for the replies. I just ordered a Tire Traker with 10 sensors. It has the replaceable batteries. I currently have stainless steel valves on all my tires and the two rear outer tire valves point towards the center of the axle. I ordered two 135 degree extenders and four 2" straight extenders so that I can easily screw the sensors on. My question is... Am I suppose to remove the valve cores on the existing valves when I install the new extenders? I'm assuming I need to....is this something that I should do or should I bring it in to a tire dealer?

The BEST approach is to totally replace your existing valve stems with ones made for the specific wheels. Check out Dually Valve Stems from either Tire-man or Borg (my choice...). Then the TPMS sending units work fine, ST
