View G Heavy

A warning to View G cabover owners. You are probably heavy. I weighed mine and I was overweight while I was the only one and I was lightly loaded with dry water tanks. I then looked at the door and say the OCCC is 960 lbs. I looked at my wife's 10 New Beatle and it has 820 lbs. I then looked up other small cars and they all have greater load carrying than my View G. WGO designed a IMHO nice 4 person coach with two slides on the Sprinter chassis. The limit on our chassis is only 11,030 so the trick WGO did was to put a tag with 960 lbs. Try to not be over weight. Take your weight, and everything else you have. Never drive with water. If you are small and light great. But put a family in it with the stuff you want for a week and you will be quite over weight. If you get into a wreck your over weight can be a big problem. Mercedes could refuse to fix a transmission if over weight. Maybe other stuff. Please get your rig weighed.

2016 Coachmen Prism 24G OCCC 1656

I realize this is an older thread.

I just checked my door sticker and my OCCC is 1656. No cab over, propane genny, recliners instead of dinette.

To get your OCCC, you need to fill it with fuel, propane take everything out and weigh it on a certified scale. Then subtract from 11,020. Do not believe the sticker. It will cost you 10 bucks.
If you don't want to remove everything, go ahead and get it ready for a trip, the weigh it. You may be surprised.
