Whine at certain rpm
At 1800 and 2800 rpm there is an annoying whine present from drive train. Any ideas what is causing?

No clue, but it would be helpful if you listed your manufacturer, model, year, and mileage.

Yes. 2014 Winn view, 40k, v-6 diesel, whine has been there since day one. I知 voting resonance, but wondering if this is common or isolated?

Buy a model with a chassis date of 2016 or later and you will not have a whine.

Why is 2016 or newer Sprinter magic number? What was done to eliminate the resonance??

Not just a Sprinter problem!! I've had the "annoying whine" on several coaches and at different RPM levels, always seems to come from the vicinity of the passenger seat, not sure what causes it, but when I turn up the radio, it goes away

I noticed a whine at about 7,000 rpm in my Miata.
Located the source as current wife wanting me to slow down.

No magic, just the last fully redesigned chassis. The next one is due in 2019.

I find whines of that sort are easily handled by wines of any sort.

Guys I have the same whine on our new 2018 View 24D, around the same rpm. Annoying. It certainly has not been fixed by any means. It is resonance whine or something, can not isolate where it is but it carries throughout the whole coach at the magic rpm. I'll think about having someone look at it if we ever get a refrigerator which actually works installed. So far no refrigerator to use, new coach parked in drive - unusable. Only cools on setting "5", freezer at -1F and refer at 20F. Any other setting and you get 39F or greater in freezer and 41F or greater in refer. Norcold says "it works" and "it is cooling". Yep.
