33.2 Generator problems QD6000

My generator will start up easily but will only run for about 5 minutes then shut down. All fluids and diesel are full. I suppose I am looking for that needle in a haystack with all the wiring and so forth associated with it. Just thought I would put this out there and just maybe someone can shed some light on my problem. The generator only has 4.6 hrs on it. On the dash the readout is 3.1 hrs and hasn't moved off this since I have had it. Thanks!!

There is a way to read the error code(s). Since I suffer from CRS I can't remember the procedure. Check your manual. Mine failed early and it was the fuel pump. The error code for that isn't listed in the manual.

Many reported problems on QD series with temperature sensor problems shutting down the unit. Google it for more (much more) info.

Good luck

I'm sure you have checked but I have to ask. Your fuel is over 1/4 tank right?

As others have said you will need to check the error code. It is straightforward and explained in the owners manual under trouble shooting. I could explain the procedure but you would need the manual to find out what the code means.
