other than when on the Inverter alone, there is nothing that 'limits' both AC units from working at the same time, you're using an external power device could be the problem Other than that, you may, though, have one AC set with the temp too high for it's compressor to kick on, though it's FAN should still work, unless, again, you have it on AUTO and the temp is not yet high enough.
check your breakers at the foot of the bed for BOTH, each has it's own breaker, which is labeled - push it OFF all the way, then back ON to see if that 'resets' it.
when you are running your generator, and one of the AC units doesn't work, it's typically because it has tripped ONE of the two breakers on the Generator, though even THAT'S confusing because when you look on the generator you only see a SINGLE 30a breaker, but the other one is below the cover. Flipping it OFF, then back ON, sometimes will also solve the problem.
