Air conditioners

We are currently at Lakewood RV and only one of our air conditioner compressors come on at a time. We are plugged into the 50 amp power poll. Presently the front compressors is on and the back is off. Previous trip was the reverse where the back compressors worked and the front was off. Both, however, have worked while on this trip at various times. I do have an inline surge protector and wonder if that is it. I switched it to "bypass" but no change. Has anyone experienced this?

Can you make each one work individually? Do you happen to have the ARC control panel, or one that can limit the incoming amps? I know on mine (I have upgraded to the Magnum ARC) it defaults to only 30 amps, and I have to select 50 amps. Usually I keep it at 50, but if it gets fully reset it will default back down to 30.

other than when on the Inverter alone, there is nothing that 'limits' both AC units from working at the same time, you're using an external power device could be the problem Other than that, you may, though, have one AC set with the temp too high for it's compressor to kick on, though it's FAN should still work, unless, again, you have it on AUTO and the temp is not yet high enough.

check your breakers at the foot of the bed for BOTH, each has it's own breaker, which is labeled - push it OFF all the way, then back ON to see if that 'resets' it.

when you are running your generator, and one of the AC units doesn't work, it's typically because it has tripped ONE of the two breakers on the Generator, though even THAT'S confusing because when you look on the generator you only see a SINGLE 30a breaker, but the other one is below the cover. Flipping it OFF, then back ON, sometimes will also solve the problem.

I took the Palazzo to Camping World and they found the actual A/C unit is bad. It is a failing compressor and intermittently drawing 49 amps when trying to engage the compressor. Camping World is trying to get an authorization to have it replaced under warranty. Thanks for all the helpful replies.
