That said, I am Nick the new guy as far as MH goes.
That may be the case if you are running enough things to reach the inverters capacity.

My inverter is on all of the time and it draws 1/2 amp. When the fridge is on, it draws 10 amps. I don't think that's enough alternator draw to increase my gas milage.
