Bunk bed closet rod not there on 33.3
In the Palazzo 33.3 brochure and on videos the 33.3 bunk bed on my 2018 was advertised to have a closet, couch, bunk conversion. In other words, the upper bunk could be up, or it could fold down into a sofa back for the lower bunk (which mine does). In addition, it was to have a clothes closet rod that is in the top of the upper bunk ceiling to transform the bunk area into a closet.
My 2018 33.3 does not have the rod to hang clothes from the upper bunk area. Does anyone with a 2018 have this rod? Did mine get left out? Did they delete this feature during the year? Any information would be appreciated.

If Thor won't give you one, a piece of perforated angle iron (sprayed white) or a straight rod wouldn't be hard to install. A rod that could fit into mounts in the center of the bunk width as a clothes hanger and a second set of mounts that would allow the rod to serve as a curtain rod for bunk privacy could also be fabricated.

My 2018 33.3 did not have the clothes rod either.
On another note, we took out the wood bifold doors, which were too heavy, bulky and always in the way with the full wall slide closed. We put up a set of drapes instead. Much nicer.

Bunk bifold doors replaced with drapes.
My wife and I are retired and so mostly travel alone, although my wife’s sister often travels with us and uses the lower bunk. She uses the upper bunk for her clothes and other belongings. We replaced the bunk bifold doors with drapes. She can close the drapes partially or completely when in the bunk for a little privacy. A simple tie-back was used when the drapes are open. The bifold doors were a real pain and always in the way with the full wall slide closed.
We’ve never lowered the upper bunk and as I said in my prior message, there was no clothes rod installed in our 2018 33.3

Thanks! That looks great. I am definitely going to see what the wife thinks about doing this. I agree the doors are kinda awkward with the slide closed but they do look nice. What you have done looks great!

Also note that we left in the top rail that supported the bifold doors. That rail also gave structure and support to the two short sidewalls, so it made sense to leave it in place. Some of the door components attached to that rail were riveted in place, so it was necessary to cut through the rivets in order to remove the parts. Some other components were screwed or bolted in place. I packaged up all the parts, shrink wrapped the doors, and put them in storage safe and sound in the event we ever need to reinstall them if we should sell the Palazzo at some point.
Just behind and slightly below the door rail we installed a standard expandable rod to support the drapes.

Nice!!! Were the curtains purchased that length or did you have to alter them?

Curtains were in stock at Bed Bath & Beyond. Two panels were used and length was 63”. No alterations.
