Chassis 60 Month Service

I'm coming up on my 60th month service date and the maintenance checklists end at 48 months. Is it as simple as starting over with the 12 month checklist and repeat the sequence for subsequent service intervals?

Do you need an appointment at Gaffney and if so how far in advance?? Do they have hookups for you to stay there?

an appointment is best, or you can cruise in and see if they happen to have a cancellation or can just see you at the end of the day....maybe.

for the hookups, no reservations needed, they have plenty of spaces, most all backins, with one or two pull thrus ... 50amp and water, dump station. Even if they were 'full', you could dry camp... they don't care.

Headed to Gaffney on Wednesday for 1yr service and Camp Freightliner. Made the reservation when the '18 class schedule posted last November.

MisterT summed it up very well. There are six service bays and twenty marked spaces with electric hookup. There are about eleven coaches (not including me) here for service. They have a dump station with potable water. They ask that you dump your tanks before they take it in for service.

For Camp Freightliner they may want you to stay at the KOA down the road.

Also, when you are here, take the factory tour. Well worth the time.

Last year I showed up on Sunday without an appointment and much to my surprise, got service Monday afternoon. Made an appointment then for this year and as luck would have it, I had to cancel. It would probably be best to call two to three months prior to make an appointment.

Had my service done. Had them check front tires as I was feeling a vibration. Tech recommended that I replace the front tires as they were wearing wonky. Ordered two new Michelins through FMCA program. $1016.52 for 255/70R22.5 tires. Still have to mount and balance. Don't know how much that will run.

We are three Palazzo owners amid a bunch of Newmars & Phaetons. Gene from Napa CA is in the middle. He may be joining the Thor Diesel Club.

Good time at our mini rally.

As an update, Pat used the 12 mo/15,000 mile checklist and added coolant change.

Mount and balance the two new tires $150.

Alignment was $200.

Pat Childers is retiring the end of September. The place won't be the same without her. Hope she has a wonderful retirement.
