Does anyone know if this fuel pump problem is a recall issue so that we can get the fuel pump replaced before we cannot start the generator when we need it?
This fuel pump problem has been discussed in the past and it was determined that they could not nail it down to a small enough population to cause a recall. I have 225 hours and no problems, it is my understanding that if you have a suspect pump it will fail with in the first 50 hours. IMHO to carry an extra would be an overkill and maybe a unwarranted expense.

OK, you are not crazy. We had the same thing happen to us. There was a fault in the ignition. We called our nearest Cummins dealer who had us come over and worked us in within two days (we were able to stay on site). They changed out the ignition and we were on our way.
