FWIW do not neglect the prime or preheat function on the start switch.

Yes, it's like asking if the power cord is plugged in. Surprising how often that works too. ;-)

Mine did that once--I just ran jumper cables from one set of batteries to the other

Thank all of you for your feedback!

I was able to get jumper cables on the chassis batteries, then usd the boost button to get the generator started.

It's great to have this forum as a resource.
