40 hp in a 3200 lb car , vs , 40 hp in a 30,000 lb coach
I'm currently on the road at 107 lbs per HP. an additional 40 HP , would only drop that to about 95 lbs per HP. JMHO. It would take 100+ extra HP to make a real difference; and those ponies have to be fed, when they're working.
The old race car statement of ; lightening the vehicle by 10 lbs is the same as increasing power by 1 HP, probably doesn't convert over well either.
EDIT : Sorry we're getting of topic.

This is incorrect information, the spec sheet is not for a MH series transmission. Here is the sheet for the mh series http://www.allisontransmission.com/d...df?sfvrsn=4%20
Note it is 340 / 700 for the 2100MH and 2500MH

They also provided the following info on upgrade information:
A 300 to 340 with a Allison 2100 is the most you can go for that unit.
A 300 to 360 with the Allison 2500 series is the max allowable.
Staying with what I have for now.

Diesel Power Digi CRTV Power Module is not detectable when removed

It is only for 2007.5 - 2013 engines, so not for Palazzo.

So I did not go with any HP upgrade. They way Cummins explained it to me was they could only do a 25HP upgrade based on the transmission and the torque rating on the Allison 2500 already. There is no way I was spending $260 bucks just to say I added 25 HP. They also said that even if the engine could be bumped to 340, I would not notice any difference because the increase in torque was negligible even at that.
I've been around diesels and running programmers on them for a very long time. I think the issue here is this is a situation where you are asking the actual manufacturer to increase HP. They will only do it in line with what their warranty parameters are. The aftermarket tuner might be the way to go. The other side of that coin would also be a complete alteration of the entire Catalyst system to do it right.

Incorrect, It will work for the 2013 Palazzo models. The '13 engines were built in '12, if you aren't sure, you can send them your vin# to verify.
And as mentioned above, the chip does not leave a "footprint" and can be removed easily if work needs to be done.
A lot of people are misinformed about power adders, manufacturers will always frown upon using them. Talk to the experts who make them, they are tested on the vehicles they are made for. The Alisson 2100 can handle more than you think if not abused and driven correctly.

You may be right, but my understanding from the description was that the device will only work for pre-SCR Cummins ISB engines. From 2013 they changed emission system to require DEF. So it is not RV model year based, but rather on emission standard.
