House Batteries
Hey all,
Does anyone here know what group size the house batteries are in a Palazzo? I imagine all models are the same, mine is a 33.2
I am thinking of changing the batteries this winter as they are 5 years old, but I don't dry camp so I just can't decide... Maybe I will save money and just get a 12 volt deep cycle battery instead of 4 six volts..? I have done this on boats in the past with no problems.
Thanks

Stick with the 6 volt. Much better overall power.
I am a Costco Member, and I bought 4 of their "golf cart " Interstate batteries and installed them for $79 each 4 years ago. They are still in there working just fine. THe only thing I need to do is add distilled water every other month or so.
As for what size batteries are in your coach. Look at them and see what the label indicates. Or measure them and notice the post locations and google them.
Also, Rural King has exide "golf cart" batteries at a great price.

Better to have the battery power and not need it than to need it and not have it. I would just replace them all with 6v batteries again. I am sorry I don't know the exact group#. There is room in there for some other than stock sizes I think. I would match them up and get new ones. I also think Costco batteries are excellent. I have one on my boat and it has been there 9 years!
I think it is a record for me and I have tried all kinds.

Agree completely
Most 12V so called "deep cycle marine RV" battys are not true deep cycle like GC2s.

I would stay with true 6v deep cycle batteries. Costco interstate or Sams Duracell (I have six from Costco). About $85 each.
Unless you really don't want the maintenance of wet cell batteries.

I went with Lifeline batteries. Theyre pricey but very high quality. Went with the bigger size and local RV shop was able to easily modify holding tray to fit them in our 36.1.

I was thinking about replacing the wet cell batteries with AGM. Any recommendations on make, model, capacity, etc.?

Make sure your charger has an AGM setting. They are different than flooded.

Thanks, I've seen that in the setup for the magnum controller.
