New Mattress

We have 2016 Palazzo 33.2, rig is still in the shop being repaired. Can anyone tell me the mattress size on their rig? I want to order the Sleep Number R5 Bed from Select Comfort but can't get to it as it's in the paint booth. I think its a Short Queen 60" X 75" as a standard Queen measures 60" x 80". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We replaced with a standard Queen. 80 inches long lets the big slide pass.

mattress

It is a standard queen. I am going to change ours before next winter...

So.. what happened to the 33.2 that is in the shop ??
We so far have not had only mechanical problems involving a tow truck.

Hit a dog on the freeway at 60mph, had no where to but run over the poor guy. 13k worth of damage to the right front and gen door. Took out the AC coil and fan as well. Bernie what year and model is yours and have you actually measured the length of your mattress.?

Thank you all for responding. We are going to go with the select comfort R5 mattress and right now through the end of the month they are having a huge off season sale. We have a 15 year old select comfort in our home and love it.

We bought a new R5 standard queen and after getting it we decided to keep it at home and put our current queen sleep number mattress in the motorhome. We are very happy with it compared to the original Denver mattress. The only precaution we take is to air it down to 30 prior to getting on the road. That eliminates the possibility of the mattress being over pressure by traversing any high passes.

Rockcop, thanks for the input. Will the mattress stay on the platform or did you have to velcro it or some other means to keep it on the platform. Do you have the washer and dryer setup or bunks?

Seems to stay put pretty good. It's light so easily adjusted if it shifts. Ours has a spot for the washer/dryer but we don't have a washer/dryer and really like the pantry space it provides.

We also considered a number bed in our Pallazo but we figured out it would be so high there is little head clearance from top cabinet.

We ended up buying a " My Pillow" mattress topper very comfortable not too high and fits perfect on top of Denver mattress.

Update: installed the Select Comfort R5 mattress with the air pump tucked nice and neatly under the bed out of sight. Had to modify the headboard to accommodate the extra thickness of the mattress so the slide would close. It works very well.

We purchased the RV specific Sleep number mattress (they have a standard and a premium version) and we love it! We bought the premium one and it is extremely comfortable. I highly recommend it. I'm not a fan of Camping World, but we were able to find one on the shelf during a trip and it took all of 15 minutes to set it up. I called Sleep Number to make sure it was their latest model, and they confirmed that it was. That is one purchase I will never regret.
