Program heater setting to cut ac unit off.

Does anyone know if there is a way to program the thermostats so that the fan on the ac unit s don't come on when you turn the furnace on?

I have the same problem and it certainly does not seem like this is the way the furnace should work. Why would we want the A/C fan to come on along with the furnace blower? Just blows cold air down your neck and makes a huge noise.

All I have been able to do so far is to turn off circuit breaker for front A/C unit.

Thanks for raising this issue as I was just about to do the same.

On your thermostat make sure that the fan is set to auto

Thank you! Just turned my furnace on for the third time in two years and couldn't figure out why the A/C was running.
