RV200 Water Selector Valve

Hello Everyone!

I've noticed that my water pump will prime the line, then prime (run) again for 2-3 seconds every 15 seconds or so. My first thought is the pump is sucking air. No visible signs of water or air leaking. As I start troubleshooting I can excuse the thought that it might be the Anderson Water Selector Value. I also have some air on the hot water side that I didn't have after I the line was primed. Any thoughts?

sounds more like you water pump is ‘leaking’ air, but try turning the Anderson valve to ‘city water’ and see if it continues

Check the inlet filter on the water pump. Mine developed a crack in the clear plastic cover.

Will do. During the night while on city water, and it's very quiet, I heard a constant, one drop at a time, drip from the water tank area.

Anderson valve was replaced on mine and that stopped the occasional running or burbing.

Pump 'runs' due to drop in system pressure......
Either due to pump internal check valve leaking back or a leak in cold/hot water plumbing system

Sucking 'Air' happens on suction side of pump......does nt cause pump short cycling but will cause issues with pump priming/pumping

Pump Short cycling (and that constant Drip) are due to a LEAK
Locate/Fix that LEAK

Our water pump would cycle every 15 minutes or so when on "normal" last summer. Hook up to city and change the Anderson valve to city and all was quiet. No question the is a pressure leak in the plumbing somewhere. Took it in and they replaced the pump as indicated previously the screen was leaking. Did not completely fix it and the shop had a back log of work and couldn't get it back in to repair. I went through test procedures and then found the Anderson valve leaking pressure with no water leak. Replaced the Anderson valve and all is quiet.

I suppose you mean you replaced the 'cartridge', not the whole valve, right?

Follow up: The Anderson Value was faulty. Knowing that they have a limited life span, I carry and extra one with me. One of the O-rings was bad (flattened, oblong) and was not able to hold a proper seal.

Took 5 minutes to replace the cartridge and easy to follow instructions. Purchased on fitzilla.com RV200

We replaced the whole valve. The 'cartridge' replacement is a common repair. The technician at Anderson valve was insistent the cartridge repair would fix the concern, it did not. I then replaced the whole valve and that cured the pressure leak. It has been many months and miles with no reoccurrence.

I replaced the plastic valve with the brass bypass valve that they use for the water heater bypass. The only function that I lost was the winterizing position.

Anderson replaced my whole valve assembly once then a year+ later sent me a new cartridge! All for zero dollars! They misnamed their product "Kant Leak" but their customer service is first rate.

Anderson sent me a new cartridge over a year ago for free, no questions asked. Last summer went to Thor factory service and at my surprise they replaced the whole valve board assembly and gave me the old one. Just my 2 cents worth!
