I got the replacement RVC module from Thor, same issue. Now back to Firefly, they can not deny there is a software issue now with the Vegatouch. Hate all this pointing fingers.

Despite the runaround, ends up there is a software update for the Firefly Vegatouch. New software version is 4.7. In addition to shore breaker amps some AGS functionality is affected. New software download is in the mail.

Also found out they started installing color touch screens about October, 2017 timeframe at Thor.

Fingers crossed

Called Firefly and they said likely the rvc module for inverter. I reset it, no go. The module does communicate because when you unplug it fully all inverter info goes away. Have tried rvc / Firefly reset as well.

Anyone else had this issue?
Sorry for the silly question but does this vegatouch system serve as a battery monitoring system also? Or does the Palazzo come with a separate battery monitor kit? I would like to closely monitory battery usage and status.

No, not directly. The Vegatouch/Firefly is just a display panel for the RVs RVCommunication network. It graphically displays the data from components on the network including the Magnum Inverter which has some AC and DC volt/amp readings, but very limited. You can see much more detailed info with a Magnum remote and Magnum battery monitor kit (shunt). The Vegatouch is not configured to pull that detailed info from the network, although it is populated on the stream. I am sure for some money Firefly could modify the display. Might want to give them a call if you want to go that route. I opted to just by a magnum remote and shunt kit.

My Vegatouch shows shore breaker at 30 and is selectable downward. I know for a fact that it’s plugged into a 50a service. Am I missing something or should I be able to select 50?

Check for any breakers off in the main panel. They wire the sensing device to 2 breakers, one on each leg of the 240 volts.

If the breaker they used is off, it can't sense 240 volts and assumes your on 30 amps or less.

So it’s sensing the rv breaker which is probably 30a on each leg and not the pedestal breaker size?

No, if one of the breakers, its sensing from, is off, its only sensing 120 volts. The device assumes its 30 amp service. It doesn't know what size breaker your hooked to.

30 amp service is 120 volts.

50 amp service is 240 volts. Your RV breaker panel splits it to 2, 50 amp 120 volt lines. Lots of power.

Looked at panel in rv. It has a double pole 50a breaker and the pedestal is a 50a double also. The firefly stops at 30a on shore power breaker selection. It’s a me2012 inverter

Confused here. Both a/c work so know both legs are powered. The progressive industries protector shows both legs normal and pulling about 15a each with a/c going.

I think that 30amp breaker means the inverter only passes through 30amps. However, the coach shore power and transfer switch will handle 50amp to run directly to the AC, etc., bypassing the inverter. That said, the firefly system specifically says shore power breaker size of 30amp even when it is on 50amp which makes me believe it is a software issue.

Since all if the breakers are on, I agree that it could be a software issue.
