Slide Control Panel in Driver's Side Overhead

There is a "Dual Motor Synchronous Velocity Slide Controller" in the driver's side overhead compartment ceiling of my 2016 33.2. It was flashing codes meaning motor short. Service writer at CW said the controller was used for things other than slides. I have had erratic jack behavior. CW reported they are waiting for Thor (2 weeks now) for approval of replacement of leveling jacks motor and other items.

Is this monitor used for jacks? Does it need to be reset if there are jack problems? I have not found any documentation on using the panel relative to jacks.

Thanks

Thanks

The panel is showing lights flashing for short in electric motor. I have not used the bed. It was lowered and raised during the PDI inspection, apparently with no problem.

That makes more sense, but I am now confused by CW service writer saying I have a short in the jacks motor.

The fuse for control panel/water pump was also blowing with vigor as soon as inserted. Maybe the fuse serves the front bed???

And the Inverter/Converter would not charge house batteries from shore or generator power. That was attributed to an open neutral.

I will touch base with the service writer. He may have crossed wires (pun intended) with the electrical tech.

As of Friday, Camping World had been waiting for approval from Thor for almost two weeks.

Slide control panel in drivers side

CW Should not be taking two weeks to hear from Thor. From my long and sad experience with CW this is frequently the excuse used to delay work on your coach until it is convenient for them. Call Thor and talk to their Parts Dept to see if they have actually been in contact with your CW about your issues. Also check in with Tom Overton as he was our gate keeper for all warranty work on Palazzos and was always helpful. Best luck! I feel your angst!! If you can find another nearby reputable (non CW affiliated) dealer for future work I suggest you use them even if you have to drive 100 miles. The best solution for all major problems is to return to the factory in IN.

Long story. I was 1332 miles from home and 1 hour from Thor when the problems surfaced. I called Thor and was given an appointment 6 weeks out. We were traveling with two dogs, so I would have driven an extra 2600 miles in the toad and parked the coach for 6 weeks with no access to it and all the gear inside. When I explained they said they could find a nearby factory favored repair facility. They had a problem finding an appointment, and after three days made an appointment for a week out about an hour from the coach .(I was in a rental car with family instead of the coach.) When I checked on the shop it was an RV custom paint shop that had added restoration and warranty work in a building that had been a metal salvage business. The shop was a little more than a year old and had one old review. There was confusion over who was to provide directions and the email from the shop said I had an appointment for a consultation. They would let me know which problems they would (could?) fix. I said no thanks and limped home. Last day drove 720 miles because I did not want to spend another night in the rig until it was repaired..

Earlier Camping World did the solenoid replacement in an hour. Guess the complexity puts this in a different category or I am being punished by Thor. They have my VIN.

I would recommend that you call the manufacturer and make sure CW really is waiting for approval. They are famous for using that as a stall tactic.

You are so correct. That is why we quit going to CW with our last coach and started going to THOR. Hate the drive from Texas but love the service.
