Time to Move On

With over 17,500 miles on my Palazzo 33.1 I am moving on.

I am not making this change because I am unhappy with the Palazzo. I have truly enjoyed it and have had several great trips. I have been to over 23 states and six national parks as well as many other scenic locations. I have been very fortunate that I never had any of the slide problems or other major issues experienced by others.

At the time I got the Palazzo I was still working so did not have time to take off for weeks at a time and I was unsure how much use a motorhome would get. But I wanted a diesel pusher for all the usual reasons and I fully expected it would be my last motorhome. Furthermore, the pricing and numerous standard features were major selling points.

But circumstances have changed. I am retired so have the time, I have really enjoyed motorhoming, and maybe most important is that I have changed my investment strategy from save for the future to spending for the most pleasure. So to maximize my motorhome enjoyment I decided to go from a small P (Palazzo 33.1) to a Big P (Phaeton 40QBH). I considered the Tuscany XTE but several factors led me to Tiffin.

I hope the future owner of my 33.1 enjoys it as much as I did.

Since I am still subscribed to several threads I may continue to appear in the Palazzo forum area.

Also, I have a set of the MagneShade tire covers available that are barely used since I have been keeping the Palazzo inside. They don’t fit the larger tires on the Phaeton.

Thanks for the memories and the friendships with other Palazzo owners as well as other TDC members.

Now I need to figure out how to change the avatar!

You will enjoy the bigger coach. Horse power & the fact that the wind around semis is non-existent is really great.

Congradiations on the new coach

Thank you so much Karen. Knowing you and Rick through the TDC rallys has been a major factor in enjoying the Palazzo.

Congratulations on the new coach!

Jerry--Congratulations on your new coach. I am sure you will enjoy it. Now you can go to the highway department and tell them that since they wouldn't give you the driving test in the Palazzo, you solved their problem by getting a bigger, heavier coach!

Jerry - First off Congratulations! You are going to get lost with all that additional space but I'm sure you won't have any problems getting everything in that you need.

I have enjoyed meeting you and seeing you at Myrtle Beach and at Goshen. Your posts have been helpful and I appreciate your comments.

Take care and tell us when you get your new rig and post some pics so we can be envious.

Take care, my Friend,

Gary

Jerry,
Greetings from the "Mile High State"!!!

Congratulations on the new coach - always an exciting event. I have heard a lot of great things about Tiffin coaches so I am sure you will certainly enjoy it. The down side for many of the TDC members and JoAnn and I is not seeing and visiting you at TDC events. We hope to stay in touch with you and follow your posts on this site. Your investment strategy for the future is great and we hold the same philosophy at this point of time in life. We hope to cross paths somewhere sometime on down the road. Safe travels!!!!

Regards,
Ed & JoAnn

Nice !!

Congrats Jerry !!! enjoyed meeting you at the MB rally and hope to see you again on the road somewhere. With all you guys trading in your 33.1's someone out there is going to get a great coach.

Guess we will have to also have a TDC and friends rally one day soon.

Billy
