Water leak/ Full wall slide 36.1

While stopping the other day it felt like someone dumped a bucket of water on my head. After stopping and drying off I noticed rain water dripping in at five different locations above the slide.
Rig is a 2017. Well maintained. Topper and rubber seal outside under the topper looks good. Outside I noticed that a rubber seal on top was in from the back corner about 3 inches and extended outward in the front the same. I pushed the rubber and it slide back in.

It’s not raining now so I can’t tell if this could have been the problem. Anyone experienced this? Any ideas?

Never had that problem but feel you are on the right track by addressing the most obvious first. I would think the seal should " Appear " the same all the way across.

Water leak/ Full wall slide 36.1

That’s what I thought. Here on the Gulf Coast with all this rain possible in the next few days I need to find a fix sooner than later.

Suppose to be 60% chance of rain tomorrow. Thanks. I’ll find out and update.

We are headed to Galveston this weekend......Guess I better check the forecast
Hey btw does it look like the top of the slide is retracting "tight" enough against the coach side wall...... creating a good seal?

Looks “normal”. There’s a depression that’s forming in the Gulf. A ways out. But if develops should be a rain maker.

My slide topper on the large slide holds water and won't reel in properly when retracting the slide to remove all of the water. I learned this as you did at my first stop and water poured on my head. The topper would get pulled in on top of the slide while retracting instead of reeling back in and would hold the water there until it found a better place to go upon braking.

Now after a rain and upon departure I have the DW outside to make sure it reels in properly while retracting and pours off all of the water. I usually have to bring the slide in and out several times to get the topper to reel back in properly. I then stand on the dinette and look on top of the slide after retracting to make sure I can't see the topper bunched up on top of the slide.

I need to replace my topper but just haven't messed with it.

This may or may not be what you are experiencing.

It’s reeling in ok. Service had to remove slide about two months ago and that might have something to do with it.
Raining now. When it starts it immediately starts leaking in about 5 places. Extend it and no problem. Scratching my head and trying to make another appointment with service

Thats strange.....so when extended the slide awning covers that area, when retracted the seal is exposed......sounds like the seal is failing or improperly installed if that is possible ????????????? did it leak before you had the slide worked on ???

No it didn’t leak before worked on. Made appointment today to go back in. It’s extended now and dry as a bone! There was even water on the floor behind drivers seat.

Doesn't make sense that it has to do with the awning because the awning always covers the area just extends with the slides. The slide pushes out on the rubber seals, and the "fold" outward as the slide moves (side and underneath). They then "fold" inward as the slide goes back in. Is the top the same way? Is there a problem with that folding seal on top also?

Don’t know. I’ve given up. Leaving the slide out and waiting on Oct 1. Doesn’t leak when it’s out. Something they did ( or didn’t do) when they removed the slide.
