25RDS bedroom TV

Looking to add a small 12v TV in our 25RDS bedroom, I love the fact that outdoor rv has already marked the wall for the TV and has the connections on the ceiling..
What size TV comes with or are people adding in the bedroom? (thinking 19") And is it attached to the wall with just a regular tv wall mount? With it being tight quarters in the bedroom i would want it mounted as close to the wall as possible. Thanks for any input.

Exclamation

We put in a cheap but decent 24” SuperSonic SC-2412 with built in DVD. The picture seems pretty good but it has very cheap sound. It runs on 12volts though it does come with an A/C power supply brick, which we don’t use. The mount was a Mount-It! RV TV Mount. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01F2OZ0VM It seems very solid and doesn’t take up much room (depth).

But beware — on our mid-2017 25RDS the so-called centerline sticker for the mount backing was way too low, barely above the bottom edge of the backing board. I have an extra screw hole as a result.

Also the mount came with screws that are too long for the wall—a quick trip to the hardware store was necessary to keep them out of the bathroom!

We had a very small 10" 12/110V LCD TV from our old TT and just bought a small mount for it.

I also got smaller screws for the wall and used a stud finder to locate a wall stud - the mount was designed to work on a stud. In using the finder I did not discover a backing plate of any sort. But then again I was looking for a stud

Yikes! Did you find backing when you put the screws in?

As I said I was looking for a stud add found one about 6" from the sticker. At the time I wasn't thinking about a backing plate.

Great info everyone....I too think the mount sticker on the wall is to low and was going to mount the TV up a little higher....Looking at a 19" TV with built in side DVD slot. How long of screws are needed as to not go all the way through the wall. Getting TV and mount tomorrow.

Total wall thickness may be 1 1/4" at most. I would not have more than 1" of screw into the wall.

Oh I get it—you did find and use a stud. Cool, that’s gotta be more secure anyway.

Might be a little late replying but remember that extra hole I have? I just stuck a stiff wire straight in and measured the depth. From the near outside surface to the back of the cavity is just a smidge over 1 5/8. If yours is the same I’d say you’d be safe with 1 1/2 or 1 1/4. I think I used wide 1 1/4 and there’s no wiggle at all. Good luck!
