Thumbs up Bent black tank actuator rod (repaired)

been using it this way for months and it finally gave out. it bent so bad the valve wouldn't close fully.
we were on the road in the neighborhood of a respected northwest orv dealer so scheduled it in. here is what they did....
replaced the single piece rod that orv uses with a 3 piece rod that Northwood mfg uses.
2 (northwood) 11" knife valve extensions and 1 (northwood) 15" knife valve extension. total parts cost $25.
what a difference. no more flexi-flyer feel.
the parts/service dept said they've replaced several bent orv actuator rods this way.

hmmm. wonder when/if orv will start using the northwood rods.

Hmmmm, same model and year as ours! Are you able to be more specific on the parts? Perhaps manufacturer and model #? I think this would be a good preemptive strike before we have the problem while away from home. So far, I've never had a slinky shower and really never want to.

What was name of rv dealer. Looks like money well spent. My rods are both bent - will be heading to NW. Would like to do the same thing.
