When bringing the slide in, the motor will start working harder as it lifts the bottom of the slide up, before it's completely closed. And when its completely in, a self-resetting breaker somewhere shuts off the motor. I'm told it's designed to work this way. Both in and out.

I've never run the slide motor on our ORV until the breaker blows. As long as the seals are slightly (no flat) compressed (in and out) what would be the purpose of going beyond that point?

This is exactly the info I needed.

I checked this bolt and it was loose, had turned out so far that the entire bolt was ready to fall off!

I already had the slide open where I thought I wanted it. I simply turned the bolt back in until it stopped and then tightened the lock nut.

Then I tested the opening and closing of the slide and it seems to work perfectly!

Thanks everybody.

Jim
