Glacier Peak recall
Who else received the Glacier Peak Pin box structure recall ? This fix needs to happen in La Grande Oregon. This sucks!

We have not as yet received a notice. Was it your model specific and what date was it sent out do you know. There has been other recalls but not to our model. Hopefully its not a big deal.

The letter just references certain 2015 , 2016 and 2017 Glacier Peak 5th wheel trailers.
I was thinking when buying this trailer that these units with heavy frame structures were far superior to the others as they build their own structures at the sister company (Artic Fox). I have sent a note to Rick Ewing and will call in the AM.

Lets hope its nothing major as that was one of the reasons for going with ORV as they build there own frames. I think if there is a problem they will make it right. They have so far.

I agree, they will make it right. The biggest thing for me is to find a window of time to take time off work and drive 13 hours for a 1 day repair.

Do they reimburse you for the gas, hotel and other costs for bringing the trailer to them?

Nothing on the NHSTA website.
Hopefully ORVPDMAN can chime in and advise which units are affected.

Yes there is a problem with the pin box, so just tow it up to the factory for repair. The hitch will fail if the recall is not done. Don't we know that isn't the way ORV works by now. I don't have a GP and would not jump to conclusions over it. EGBOK.

I'm hoping not, have not been notified about anything yet. If it is pinbox itself I have replaced it with a Moryde anyways. Not too busy at work in September anyways so might be able to do quick trip to factory for repairs if necessary. We should be there one way or other.

It is not the pin box itself. Its the structure that holds the pin box. The letter says there is a potential for the trailer to lose contact with the tow vehicle due to metal fatigue in the structural componants

I haven't received any notification either. Ours is a 2016 with the MorRyde option.
