Glacier Peak water capacity

I have a 2015 Glacier Peak 26cis. The fresh water capacity is 80 gal, 70 in the tank and 10 in the hot water tank. The problem I have is that I can only get 45-46 gallons in the fresh water tank until water starts coming back up the fill tube. I believe the problem is in the fill hose, maybe a kink in the hose or a low spot acting as a p-trap. Just wondered if anyone else has had this issue. Thanks. That aside, we really like this 5th wheel. Just did a 5000 mi trip that hit all western states, zero issues other than the water capacity. It performed flawlessly.

Try to get eyes on the tank to be sure it hasn't partially collapsed. Then drain the tank completely using the drain valves. Measure the time it takes to fill a 5 gallon bucket, then measure the time it takes to fill the tank back to full. If it is still short, start checking vents, fill line, etc.

At 8.4 lbs per gallon, traveling with over 600 lbs of weight isn't a good idea unless you're staying in a place that has no water.

Hmmm. Our fill hose was too long, and bulged up higher than the fill port. It started backing up water as soon as you started filling, making it a real slow and messy process from the get-go.

Your problem might be different as it doesn't start until the tank is partially filled?

Our hose is easy to access though and re-bending (lowering) the hose fixed it.
