Does anyone know why ORV would put all the grease fittings for the suspension outward towards the tires so you need a flex or 90* fitting? Having them inward would certainly make things easier.
Mine are outward are yours too?

My guess it’s random with their manufacturing process. Just like the wet bolts on the Moryde suspension, some need a jack to move them into position to insert grease.

Kinda what I figured. I actually was hoping one side was the right way. But nope.

I don’t know why they would either. When I installed wet bolts last year I installed them inward away from the tire.

I installed the Dexter suspension kit and the wet bolts are facing outwards, I have no problem accessing them without a 90. My suspension is with the 15" tires though as this was an after purchase add on.

Went to O'Rielly's and got a 360* swivel. Worked fine. Seemed like the grease was going in fairly well on all but a couple fittings. Got lucky there I guess.

15" tires would've been great. The 16" tires are just wider enough that it makes getting a straight shot tougher.

Mine face out. I have a flexible grease hose (for getting at the truck's Cardan U-joint) but have always had to get the weight off the trailer wheels to grease some of the zerks anyway. And occasionally a few have to be removed to clear a blockage out (especially after traveling on dirt roads).

So the wheels come off anyway, and orientation doesn't matter.

Ok - have a 2017 20FQ bought new in 2018 and I've been pulling it all over the Western US about 50% full time...

I've just replaced right rear trailer tire (Goodyear Endurance) due to it going flat with couple foreign object possible punctures - Les Schwab didn't recommend repair due condition of tire inside Tire wear down to 'wear bars' so bought a new ST tire.....Tried to grease suspension with wheel off but rr Grease Zerk would not accept grease...What Size Are These Zerks for possible replacement???

Anyone have idea why right side tires are wearing out quicker than left (inside tread wear)?

Mine do the same. Have heard a couple of possible reasons why, nothing really definitive. I just rotate the wheels regularly to compensate. Getting about 30K miles each set that way (Goodyear Marathons and now Carlisle HD).

Never had a clogged zerk. I't aways been the side hole in the grease bolt, meaning you have to remove the bolt and drill/clean it out.

Most zerks can be rotated another 90-180 degree to orientat to where you want. Tighten not loosen.
On zerks that won’t take grease you can remove them and take a pick and clean out the old, stiff grease or what I do is put a LITTLE heat on the zerk and pump grease in to it. Warm grease pumps easier also.
Also your grease gun coupler can be tightened to grip the zerk better. If you get it too tight it will be hard to get it off the zerk.

Used the flexible fitting, successfully greased all but 2. Bought this beauty and worked like a charm. I angled the end around the rear trailer tires just enough to get a straight shot at the zerk.
Before I greased them I used a needle nose awl to push open the small ball bearing in the zerk opening.

It took more time for me to get up off the ground than it did to grease the fittings...it’s the shits getting old and losing what ever flexibility I had.

Forgot to mention the zerks are installed facing out...it they were facing in toward the trailer I would stIll be lying their trying to get out...like an old turtle on it’s back.

I had one zerk on the shackle bolt that wouldn't accept grease, called morryde and they suggested to jack the frame of trailer up slightly, sure enough, that worked and grease pushed through the shackle bearing.

Thank you for your inquiry. The size of the grease zerk fitting is M6 X 1.0 (pitch). If it is clogged, you can always soak it in some solvent. Let me know if you have any further questions.
