Well, I was around for the 100 th and the 125 th.
Don't think the 175 is one I'll make , for SURE not 200.
So I guess I'd better party hardy , on this one .

Happy 150 th. Canada.

To my fellow Canucks , have a great day , but don't live it up to the point where you can't live it down.

I celebrated Canada Day #150 in your beautiful city of Vancouver. Parked the vehicles when we got there and bicycled all over for 3 days. Stanley Park, Sea Wall, Canada Place, Granville Island, Aquarium, Kitsalano salt water pool, and more. One of the highlights was a Zodiak boat ride which was supposed to be a harbor tour, but the skipper got a call on his radio from another boat that there was a pod of Orcas playing about 20 minutes outside the harbor so we headed that way and were treated to a marvelous show.

Vancouver is an absolutely amazing city! I was there for the worlds fair, but didn't remember it as being this beautiful and diverse. We will definitely return. The traffic, however, is horrendous, so cycling or public transit is a must.

Anyway, Happy #150 to our Canadian friends! I was happy to celebrate this one with you!

When we go to the Toronto, the car stays parked, and bikes, feet and trolleys/subways are our primary transportation. NY, Montreal, Seattle, the same. Maybe not Dallas or Atlanta though.

This was perhaps the highlight of Toronto's 150th Canada Day celebrations:

The Canadian 150 Birthday duck

This is from the Globe and Mail newspaper.
"The $200,000 cost includes renting the duck from a man in the United States who owns it, transporting it, inflating it, using a crane to lift it onto a barge, towing the barge, bringing it to other Ontario communities, marketing, and on-site support such as portable toilets and extra fencing so people don't fall in the water, Parrell said."

Thank God it was paid for in Canadian dollars.. Lololo

Glamping at a great spot for Canada Day!
Hiking, biking and golf at our door. 40 minutes of fireworks was a super end to the day.

Sadly, Coops, I don't think you'll see HMCS Rubber Duckie on the Wet Coast.
Strictly Ontario waterfront towns apparently.

They also had the frigate HMCS Toronto on display, with seemingly endless lines of people waiting to get on it. And one of the Canadian Coast Guard mid-shore patrol vessels was there (CCGS Corporal Teather C.V. IIRC). Don't imagine having those show up and hang around was cheap either.

That's too bad....I would have love to see the "HMCS Rubber Duckie", however, there is no shortage of "hot air" in Ottawa Ontario to keep the thing inflated.

Love your comments! Lolo
Take care

Is that a Kamloops venue (looks a lot like a fairway)? And Coops is holding out on us?

Mr. Wonderful
Logan Lake Golf. Try to keep it quiet though. Lots of biting bugs and hidden holes. You wouldn't like it. Only 9 hole and pricey at $10!
Only power at the sites, water available, but not at sites. Dump station is 1/2 mile away.
Happy Glamping.
