Here in Oregon I fill up with diesel for $1.65/gallon. And then whatever my rewards card gets me off of that.

Doing all the conversions from litres to US gallons and CND $ to US $ , we are paying $3.37 a gallon for diesel!

Half that down here, Rickeoni. I feel bad for our friends and neighbors to the North, a weaker dollar and high fuel prices to boot.

Just fueled up in Hemet California yesterday...$1.99 US a US gallon of Diesel...offsets the exchange on the Can. dollar.
Heat and sunshine ......priceless.

Just imagine if you did not have to pay the 44.5 cents per gallon gas tax for living in the lovely state of Washington.

Even though I'm in storage for the winter, I've seen diesel around here for $1.57
Regular unleaded is $1.37
I still don't understand why diesel, which has always been cheaper, is more then gasoline.

I do like the nice state highways that I have driven on in WA, like 14, 500, 503, 4, 7,706, I could go on and on. I miss WA after driving on some AZ state highways lately.

Hang on folks........refineries are gearing up for 'summer blend' so prices will be going back up.
Both gas & diesel.
Filled up yesterday diesel at $1/gallon (pump price $1.75-----.75 discount) I squeezed every last drop into tank right up to the fuel cap drip by drip.
Just trying to make up for the $5.25/gallon we were paid back in summer of 2008 or $4.39/gallon in May 2011

I dont know what is up with Idaho but we pay 1.86 per gal for unleaded and closer to 2.00 for diesel. We complain all the time about the disparity between here and other areas but to no avail. I do feel for our neighbors to the North..

So where is all the money going when it goes back up to $5 a gal? How long can the states deal with lower sales tax $$'s due to low price? Is this low price really a price war with a design in mind? I remember when really smart(haha) people were saying the earth was running out of oil 30 years ago, now they are saying the earth is getting hotter. They are soooo smart. There are many jobs and Billions all wrapped up in this.

This made me wonder if Idaho, a state I also love to travel through, has any fuel pipelines? I think that is part of how prices can be dramatically lower in areas pretty close to each other. Seattle and Portland have gasoline pipelines that end in those Metro areas, but there may not be any points on the pipelines in ID to get a supply of gasoline?
Again, maybe a portion of why prices are higher, but not a complete answer. Maybe someone that knows more will come along and help us out.
