Lava Beds National Monument

Anyone ever stayed in this park located just south of the OR/CA state line, near Klamath Falls, OR? Looking to go there on my return leg back home. Looks to be a pretty interesting place for a couple of days with caves and such to explore. Whats the weather like in mid October in this part of the country?

I don't know anything about the campground you are looking at but the weather is generally cool and crisp at night and sunny and mild during the day but you are heading towards colder temps the longer you stay.

Haven't stayed at that campground, but I can highly recommend "Collier Memorial State Park" on highway 97 about 30 miles North of Klamath Falls. We spent a week there last year and really enjoyed it. Lots of shade trees and right on the Williamson River.
