Leaky flush

Recently my toilet in my 25rds titanium does not hold water unless i quickly realease the pedal. It leaks slowly until it is empty. If I pay attention and quickly release the foot lever, snapping the thing closed it doesnít leak but anything less than aggressive it leaks. I ran my gloved fingers around the gasket and it seems intact. Itís as if the plastic piece that moves out of the way and then closes isnít fully closing all the time. Any solutions or experience?

On a 2019 you would hope the gasket is not failing yet. I would suspect some bits of paper or something stuck in the seal.
