Mods to 280RKS since purchase in April:

Removed recliners for more room in living area for both us and the Boxers.
Expanded stainless metal over lower inside of screen door (Boxer deterrent!).
12" flourescent light over sink (with led tubes).
Double 12V outlet under counter edge.
Vortex vent fans in bath and kitchen.
Removed door and framing to bedroom (more hallway room!!).
5' long table rail on exterior (pic).
Tee and quick connect to LP line for outdoor stove (pic).
"Master" switches for radio, tv & ant amp, LP/CO detector (pic).

Next (and last for awhile!), connecting the back kitchen grey tank to the main dump connection. Can't stand hooking up 2 drain hoses to dump!!! Then, painting the house!! The stick one!!!

Do these 100# bed lifters use the existing hardware? Is the bed hard to close with them? I know I'm getting tired of lifting that damn bed with the existing lifters! Are the original lifters 80#s?
Got to do something!

No, they don't make it much harder to close, but obviously help a bunch with opening and staying up. Origs seem to be ok till you add blankets, comforters, etc. I put 120's on my last trailer, much better at everything!!! Gotta do it to the new one, now that the wife has made up the bed to her liking!!

Larv- yes i used same hardware, just lift on bracket lock and lifted off ball. Ours requires a bit of a tug to start moving but will stay when lifted. Or closed. We are thinking of swapping mattresses so may have to change em again!

Ill hold onto the old ones for a bit then ebay em if not used

I assume the propane junction is at rear of trailer on low pressure system, Im interested in not porting extra 5gal container for the stove, but i do have a high pressure tap but told it is to use in place of those 1lb bottles due to fittings.

I like the shut off switches, did you have to do a lot of cable hunting or is that near the power distribution center.

Finding that sensors and radio standby are draining battery's faster than solar recharging tops em off!

Thanks for ideas

TM, yes the tee is on the trailer low press system. I connect a CampChef low pressure stove to it, works perfectly. Have done this on the last 2 trailers with no negatives. The fittings were purchased at a hose/hyd shop and are rated for propane, and both pieces have shut-off within them. No valve on trailer.

All the wires I needed to access were literally stuffed in the area above and behind the power center, probably 4 or 5 bundled harness, and almost all had 2-3 feet of extra wire!! Did have to chase down the main feed for the LP/CO detector and TV stuff to split it to 2 different switch feeds. Bit of work, but doable!!!

Not to worry Lloyd...there is a check valve typically just inside the coach from the water inlet (usually inside the lavy cabinet).

Not that I'm aware of, I've had water back out of it after disconnecting the hose.

The water you are likely seeing would be a small amount between the back of the outside fitting up to the back-flow check valve.

It is code violation to develop a tank flush system that could potentially contaminate any fresh water.

A few new mods

I finally changed out the Coleman Mach whatever to a more precise Honeywell thermostat that I recycled from our house. I added a slider switch on the side to take care of the A/C fan hi/low function. Click image for larger version

Then I added a combo thingy that shows DC voltage, (picture does not do it justice), a 12v outlet, and 2 USB charging points.Click image for larger version

Just got back from a trip to Eastern Washington and having the sky lights tinted made a huge difference in the inside temperature. Also I am hoping to cut down on some of the UV that is discoloring the inside of the trailer. Easy MOD and I highly recommend it.
I am another person who would really like to know how you did this. Can you provide some details?

Single Grey (Gray??!!) Connection!!

Just finished a mod I have really wanted to get done!! Hated the dual grey tank outlets as found on most rear kitchen floorplans. Now hooked together.

One 3" tee, one 1-1/2" 90, 20 ft of 1-1/2" abs pipe, and 2 hrs of laying on my old back in the driveway!! Also two 1-1/2" rubber connectors to be able to remove a section of the pipe to access the slide drive area. No leaks, and should drain well with the slope of the pipe and ability to lower the nose of the trailer to completely empty the line.

Now no more pulling ahead to hook up a second connection!!! Love bein' lazy!!

Sorry for the dirty underbelly, we finally had some rain up in the Blue Mountains the last camping trip. Need to do some more hosing!!
