stove exhaust fan speed controller
Installed a DC motor speed controller from Amazon on my stove's exhaust fan.
I replaced the basic on/off switch. (~$10)
Helps with the fan noise when you don't want it going full blast.
I did have to create a small aluminum backing plate with a small round hole for the knob control.

This worked well for us as well. Just reducing the speed of the original fan a tad helps a lot with the noise.
I left the on/off switch in place and drilled a hole for the controller knob on the side of the hood.
Originally wanted to install a quieter fan but wasn't sure how a computer case fan would hold up. And mounting one looked to be rather difficult.

Dust prevention mods?
Has anyone ever tried any mods to reduce the chance of dust intrusion while traveling on dusty roads for extended distance?

Our kitchen vent opens to the rear and brings in lots of dust. I just tape it up when going down dirt roads for any distance.
Also have an issue with our rear door leaking dust around the bottom hinge side. I think the bottom friction hinge has somehow stretched out so there's quite a gap on that side. Ended up covering the gap with some screen door Al-vinyl flashing screwed into the outside of the door frame. Also added some sticky foam around the hinge, but that's coming loose and will be removed.
And we have a good 120VAC vacuum cleaner and inverter that we use especially after dirt road traveling.

For the hood fan not much of a mod really. All I did was sandwich together 3 strips of ⅜ x ľ" wide adhesive backed foam weather stripping. The white tab is a piece of the backing paper sandwiched between two layers to act as a pull tab. The plug is simple friction fit and keeps both dust and blowing snow out even while traveling.

Good idea. Do you have a link for the controller you used? I see many.

I used this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But a smaller form factor like this may be better since I had to tap a new hole to hold the "wiring cover" because the one I used was a bit long. I liked the one I used because it has a housing, but in retrospect it really didn't need it because of the existing "wiring cover" that will already protect the wiring and fan control.

Honda 2200i propane conversion mod
I just purchased a 2200i Honda generator and installed the Hutch Mountain propane conversion kit. That mod seems to work great but now means I need to make another mod. The hookup to stock propane tank configuration is awkward to say the least! Our 250RDS didn't come with a BBQ quick disconnect so I guess I could install one and then dump the regulator on the Hutch Mountain unit assuming that the trailer regulator can produce adequate flow+pressure but I don't know?? Otherwise, I need another high pressure tap mounted somewhere for generator setup.

Has anyone put Barker autodrain valves on their trailer waste lines as a mod before? Do these things work, or do they break and cause a world of nightmares?

Hey BandC, just a suggestion. Your question might be more noticeable if you start your own thread with Barker autodrain in the title. Cheers.

Did you leave the original shocks in place. Did they need any adjustment with fender washers?

Charge station
Hopefully pictures come through. One of the things I noticed “ after we purchased” for a trailer that says it’s prima goal is boondocking, there was no 12 v charging or plug ins , lots of 110. Rocker switch is nice no extra load on batteries when not needed.
