Is it so simple as using a putty knife and gently prying the inside portion of the frame off? Thx!
The two plastic frames were screwed together from the inside. All of the screws themselves were exposed on mine and didn’t need anything special done. The sealant between glass and frame is somewhat tacky, which might require prying apart, but I don’t remember it being too difficult.

I have replaced both of mine with dark tinted glass. Tape the front frame in place when removing the screws on the inner frame. Be sure to reseal the outer frame well along with the window. A 2nd set of hands is nice but not really needed.

Did you get the glass from a local glass shop or an online supplier?

The “new” style windows requires a bunch of plastic tabs to remove the window... did this mod on my 2019. I’ll post some pictures

Let's see your Outdoors RV Mods

Had to buy a kit of the tabs from Lippert to remove window, kit part number is 429436. Cost was $42

I went with the kit that also includes a shade. Kind of spendy for what it is though. I’m sure it’s cheaper to get glass from a shop, then add your own blind.

Started the greasable shackle mod today but removed a few bolts and found perfect plastic bushings in place so I'll just leave it for another time. Grease them up and call it good for now. I have <20K miles on it.

Let me see if I have this correct:

You buy the kit of tabs and that allows you to remove the factory window from the factory door for the newer rigs with pressed-in windows.

The AP Products Slim shade fits in the stock opening and is held together with screws provided in the package.

If you have a rig with 2 doors, do you just need 1 kit? can you remove and re-use the tabs on the second door?

I intend to install 2 AP slim shades in my 27BHS when I pick it up in a few weeks.

Thanks,

Fred
