Under the mattress

The factory base for the queen mattress is just rough plywood, splinters and all. Changing sheets requires you to slide it out and about but the wood surface is not so smooth. So I varnished the base then applied stick-on 12" floor tiles for a cost of about $25. Much better

I think you could just leave those parts off when you install it. FWIW, when the shade is retracted it lives behind the plastic frame and would probably not get wet from a normal shower.

I did my door windows. Easy and I sealed them right. Arrow Trailer Supplies in Ontario Calif has them. Dark clear tinted glass. Call them, they will ship them.

I've seen a guy at the last several Forest River International Rallies who sold a variety of replacements. He had a lot of "stained glass" types with about every motto you could ask for. I'm pretty sure he would do clear glass.
This MAY be the guy I saw... Stained RV Glass Windows

No problem with the mattress sliding around; it is a snug fit on the forward end. Eliminates the wood splinters from the bottom of the mattress, too.

If it does move more than you want, you could put down a strip of that non-skid tape they sell for bathtubs. Put one or two in a V shape, should hold the mattress more than secure.

I used the same door glass (dark/un-frosted), it fit perfect. I did go one step further and had it light (auto type) tinted with a UV blocker to control heat gain before installing it.

Another sink cover, cutting board mod

This is for our 2019 20FQ. The factory sink covers are nice, same material as the countertop but heavy and not that suitable for cutting boards.

I ordered a large cutting board and cut it to fit the sink.
The routered (I'm not that good with the router though...) the underside so that it had the same insets as the factory ones. (ie. the double sink pattern)

The cutting board is one piece however and has a large hole for the faucet to stick into during travel.

I'm sure someone with better router skills could do a much better job.
And there's other hole options, two-piece versus one, etc...
This style works for us.

outdoor shower / washdown

Added a quick-coupler and adapters to the outdoor shower so we could detach the shower head and attach a hose.

The hose then can be used as a wash down for the RV.

Note: the shower head has to be detached to fit in the compartment because of the added length. And of course, the hose and spray nozzle needs to be stored elsewhere.
