Lowes carrying Zamp

Was in Lowes this morning they had Zamp solar panels, controllers, inverters, wiring kits in stock. Some were portable and others were fixed panels in various sizes that would plug into Zamp outlets on our rigs. Looks like they're going to be stocking them. just an FYI.

I'm quite happy with my Z Amp products. I wonder if the Lowes process are near the prices in Quartzsite?

It was in Phoenix AZ. I 17 & T-Bird. I didn't check pricing but solar prices have come down. Quartzite has some good deals but Lowes buying power may be able to trump a smaller dealers prices, especially when on sale. In any case it offers a guy an alternative. Like anything it pays to shop but shipping can be a killer on large panels.

Just check the lowes website. They have them on there though it's a small selection.

A 160w roof panel is $371. The 30 amp controller comes with the roof ports and wiring but our solar ready trailers already have that. But that kit with the controller is $292

Don't forget military members get 10% off as well in store. Although they have always honored my prior military service and gave me the discount. Part of the reason I consistently shop there.

Love the Lowes discount.

Solar unaware here. Is that a good price? We are in the process of having our 260rdsb prepped for a Thursday delivery. We were quoted $1000 for the first panel and controller and $500 for a second panel, $700-800 for an inverter plus 5-6 hours install. If the trailer is prewired what do I need to add and can it be done easily?

We haven't opted in for solar yet but would like too.

Here's a couple of links for you to do some research. They will help you get an idea of what it takes and how to calculate your needs and how to build a system. Your unit may have an external jack for a Zamp portable unit which is an easy way to get started with solar. You need to contact ORV about how it's wired for external jack or roof top installation and may want to upgrade wiring in some applications. Research is your friend concerning solar since many dealers aren't too well versed in installation and that way you may avoid some potential issues and extra expense down the road. Hope this helps.
