Microwave Watts
Does anyone here know how many watts the microwave is that ORV uses in these trailers?

should be a tag inside the door frame that gives watts and amps for that model

It is rated as delivering 900 Watts of power and consumes IIRC 1300 Watts.

Yes, I measured 1250W at 120VAC on my West Bend replacement microwave, which looks identical to the original High Pointe.
At lower power levels, it just cuts out for a period, and then blasts away at 1250W again.
My more sophisticated Panasonic at home actually lowers the wattage at lower power levels, so I could theoretically use it with my 1000W inverter at any level below 5. Can't do that with the one in the trailer though.

Thanks for the replies. Looks as though my new inverter wont run the microwave then. I may have to keep my eyes open for a lower wattage model.

With a Kill-A Watt meter, ( "Kill A Watt"â„¢ Electric Monitor), you can measure the watts and/or amps any 120VAC appliance uses.

Thats not a bad idea. Then I could check the inrush current of these appliances as well.

Killawatt is a greAt tool. Everyone should have one IMHO.
MSW or PSW inverter? Some microwAve don't play well with MSW.
