New to Me 2016 TR 280 RKS - Picked her up TODAY!!
So, TODAY I was able to pick up my new to me 2016 Outdoors RV Timber Ridge 280RKS!!!
She is dirty and needs a wash.
Wife and two sons are excited and can't wait to take her out!
Towed beautifully! Only about 20 miles from home including a 6% grade (downhill) but it towed great!
Truck pulled it great, no lack of power with the venerable V10
The F-350 1 ton capacity can be felt...solid and very capable
Need to adjust Equalizer hitch as trailer sits a little low at front.
Prodigy controller worked great.
Now.... wash her and load all of our personal belongings.
Also, load tools, safety items, hoses, filters, adapters, etc....
Exciting times!!!
Thanks to everyone for all of their advice and tips on ORV and other brands.
We are VERY happy we went with the ORV... More $ but quality is a several notches above most others!!!!
This definitely holds true for this purchase...."you GET what you PAY for!!!!"

I see a driveway camping experience in your future (this weekend).

Nice looking rig. Best of luck with it.
The driveway camping is a wise idea. Gives you time to see the things that you need.

Very nice! But before you adjust the Equalizer hitch, I am told that the TT is supposed to sit a bit low in the front. That's how the dealer set mine up.

Great looking setup, congrats. We moved to ORV this year also and we're very happy with the choice.

Congrats! You got it home. Nice looking trailer. Now you just have the personal touches to do.
As for sitting a little low I agree. Most of the information I've seen from hitch manufactures recommend towing the trailer level.

Oh come on now, we have a least 3 seasons, those you mentioned and then Komarno season and I'll let those who use google or speak ukranian figure out that one. Now everyone knows the real reason for why we needed a 4 season trailer.

I guess it comes from many years of boat ownership....always "she"
or
calling a car, boat, trailer "she" is symbolic of how I intend to take care of it and treat it right
