Norcold Refer Dead?

Okay, I need some help here....we used our 2019 24RKS just two weeks ago and did not have any issues at all with the Norcold Refrigerator. I went to start it last night on AC and I just got a red flashing light. I have confirmed that the WFCO is working as well as all other systems in the trailer. I have checked fuses and they are all good. It will not work on AC or GAS. I checked the three accessible fuses on the main control board and they all look good. I did change batteries from 2-12v to 4-6volt batteries. The main battery switch was turned off as well as the AC disconnected during the project, so nothing would get fried.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to look so I don’t miss out on a month of camping? Thanks non advance....Brent

More information......I am actually getting a flashing red light and the code reads: 10 Flashes every 5 seconds.....indicating loss of communication with the electronic controls.....turn off and back on to reset. This did not work and it states to take it to a service center.....of course unless there is an easy fix??

Did you check the 12VDC to make sure you are getting 12v since you changed the batteries? If it worked before the battery change the that's where I would start.

And as a sanity check, did you check your battery disconnect switch.

(just double checking as I have NEVER done that more than 45 times....)

We had this same problem on our new 2019 24 RLS. Norcold refridge was a lemon from day one. We notified the dealer, he pulled a new Norcold out of a brand new unit and swapped it our for ours in less than an hour. Back on the road - two months into the new Norcold and no problems yet. I'm guessing you also got a lemon.

The unit is a N8XC....I have double checked everything, I have 12.3 volts right to the panel, I have refer fans that run off this as well and they are fine. I pulled the three fuses and double checked with a meter and all is good. My guess is now that we have a bad board and the service notes state to change the fridge out.....wow....!! We are going glamping anyway, but use an ice chest...old school. They will be able to cover it under warranty when I get it into the shop.

N8XC????

How about an NX84....

Lower Circuit Board bottom center is a the P1 --- a 10 pin connector
Pins are numbered Right (1/Ground) to LEFT (10/DC+ to gas valve)
Pin 6 (Green) is DC+ to upper display P1 -- 5 pin connector to Pin 1
Pin 3 (Blue) is 'Communications' goes back to lower circuit board to Pin 3 (Top Left Corner P2 Connector)

Bad connectors/contacts, bad harness OR circuit board

Yep, my fridge is the N8XC. I called multiple RV places and they are all booked out for the next month or two. So I called Todd at the factory and he is setting me up with a new controler. This is awesome service and very much appreciated. Sure beats using an ice cooler like we did for two days. Once I get the part, Iíll install and hopefully will work. Iíll update you guys if I have success.

Yes, Todd at ORV is a great customer oriented employee.

Our LCD tv went out the first year we owned our GP, Todd had a new one shipped to me within 3 days to install. Dealer was backed up for a month then.

Great customer service! Let's see if Forest River and rest can match up.
