We've been staying in our new 20RD for the last few days. Today I called them to get the trailer in for repair of the 12v outlet they installed and a propane leak. The leak is outside, but it's a propane leak!

The voice on the phone told me she could not get me in until after June 1, and wondered if that was a problem. I told her that a propane leak was a safety issue, so it was a big prblem.

She agreed, checked again, and amazingly "found" an opening next Monday at 1100. I told her that would be great and asked if I could leave it earlier, thinking they might get to it sooner. she told me no, my appointment was at 1100. I then asked if I could pick it up later that afternoon? Her answer floored me.... She said, "Oh no, we'll need to keep it at least 10 days."

"If that is so, why do I need to bring it at 1100 exactly," I asked. Her reply, "Cause that's the way we do it."

So I guess at Broadmoor, you schedule a delivery to them time so they can work on getting to it in the next 10 days.

Welllll, not at my house. I am now changing my recomendation from a buy and take it somewhere else, to don't bother....purely because of their terrible service department. I'll never spend another dime there.

I guess I will become a warranty tech....probably get better work than I would have gotton from them.
Not to side with them, but at my local shop, it's a lot to do with space. They simply don't have enough room to take RV's early and they are really strict about drop off times and pick up times. Could be the case in yours.

Thompsons RV. Family business and they treat you like an old friend.

Your propane leak may be the connector hoses (ie from the splitter valve to the tanks). The hoses that come originally are very stiff. If you go down to Ferrellgas off of Fruitland in Kennewick, they will manufacture some new ones for you for about $8 each. I choose the internal connection instead of the BBQ type, just to make sure of a good connection.

Just FYI.

Thanks! I'll give them a try. I've been in there many times for propane.

Holiday RV in Poncha Springs, CO is excellent. A small town dealer, they are very accommodating and knowledgeable.

In western Canada, the fellas at Lethbridge RV have been absolutely terrific to deal with, both on sale and also service. Down-home genuine and no pressure on sales. The fellas in the back, particularly Matt, have bent over backwards to make sure we were satisfied and continue to do so even after our warrantee expired. They come highly recommended by us, but also realize that not everyone can be pleased, always.
I have a referral certificate for significant $$ off, if anyone decides to buy there too.
Cheers
Glen

Lethbridge RV was one of the two dealers at the indoor spring RV show. We weren't there to buy, just to look at the new ORV offerings but they were nice folks to chat with. As for the other dealership, well lets just say I won't be shopping with them. One thing you don't do is run down the competition.

By the way, I have found this be true.

I've needed a few odds and ends, some parts, some big, some small, this that and the other.. and Thompson's hasn't batted an eye, hasn't caused any delay, hasn't given me an ounce of grief, replies almost immediately, and the requested parts show up right away.

I'm very pleased.

I'm also a Rangitsch fan. We purchased our Back Country 21RWS in 2020, and we got a great price on the trailer, which made it worth the trip from Arizona for the purchase. This week I had another reason to appreciate them: I was vacationing near Glacier National Park when my air conditioner failed. Rangitsch had a replacement A/C unit in stock and worked with me and the A/C manufacturer (Coleman/Airxcel) to install a new unit under warranty within 24 hours. The job isn't complex or lengthy, but the discussion with Airxcel took some patience and skill and Rangitsch (thanks much to Bill in the Service Dept) pulled all the pieces together to get it done.
