We've been to Thompson RV and if we were to ever buy another, it would be from Thompson.

Personally, I would like to see the unit I'm buying, before I sign papers. I had planned a whole day to be at Thompson's, as I was also dropping off my trade.

Right off the bat, I took about 90 minutes to go thru the unit (Timber Ridge 24 RKS) before we started the walk-thru. Two items right off the bat were. Both rain gutters, had a 1/8" gap where one 20' section meets the next section. Alex put some black colored caulk in the gap. The stove top had a nick (1/2" dia.) in the black enamel paint and it didn't sit level. They ended up pulling the whole cook top unit out and replacing with another unit. Did notice on two of the painted rims there were 4-5 "rub marks" ( size of a dime) down to the aluminum. Made note of it on walk-thru, but trying to get a paint code from the rim maker so I can touch it up myself.

After getting it home, I did notice a few (3) trim issues which should have been caught at the factory's final inspection.

This was our 4th new RV trailer, and by far the cleanest one as far as vacuuming up all the sawdust from the manufacturing process.

I don't know if I mentioned this before, but buying from Thompson's we drove the 50 miles east to Le Grande and did the factory tour the next day. Well worth the 3 hours we spent there. And they were building the 24 RKS model that day....double yes. We stayed an extra day at the campground in Le Grande just to make sure all the systems worked again.

I'm just gonna have to take my chances that Burton does all the right stuff.
With this 10 month old baby at home, tax season on top of us, and the chances on winter weather, i've decided to not drive up there to pick it up myself.

I want to believe that Thompson's knows what they are doing, and if all else fails, I have a fantastic private RV repair facility near by that I have a great relationship with.

I called ahead to ORV, and told them precisely what the deal was, and I appreciated their response with regards to having my warranty work handled at my local favorite.
