ORV Graphics

Well, our trailer is starting to show its time in the sun for 3 years now.

I am wondering about the vertical fading lines on the light grey graphics. The lines follow the framing inside the walls.

The fading doesn't exist on the black or white decals.

Any thoughts out there? They cannot be rubbed or waxed out. I put 303 on them 4 times a year.

That sucks! I have had my trailer for only a few months and from I see the graphics are not that great. They peel super easy and it doesn’t take much to scratch them. I was afraid of fading from some other posts I read. So I called Duratain which is a company that costs the entire trailer inside me out with there special products. It causes water to just bead up on the surface like no we could ever do and lasts for 5 years. It cost me $800 but we’ll worth it I say. I had it on my Jayco and it didn’t fade or ever had a black streak that didn’t just wipe off with ease.

Did you guys wax the trailer a minimum of 2 times a year?

Wax mine with Rejex this year, last year I used Mequires Marine #50.
Don't think its an issue with the wax, I don't wax the graphics, just use 303 on them 3 times a year. I suspect this has something to do with sunlight on these areas and the framing behind causing more or less heat to build up.

No response from ORV, they probably won't cover replacement anyway, since my free year is up.

I am considering removing the light gray decals and move on.

Be aware that ORV is swamped right now, inventory and all. My decals park in So Cal and the door side is in the sun facing south. I wax the entire trailer and decals with McGuire's Flagship Marine wax about twice a year and my decals look really good. No fading or peeling. I suppose that some day they will show their age and I'll have to make a decision on whet to do. It will be interesting to see if in the years to come if anyone does a full body paint if possible.

I polish mine at least twice a year with StarBrite marine polish with PTEF which has tons of UV inhibitors and is a polymer rather than a traditional wax. Super slippery, bugs just hose off the front and the decals look like new.
