ORV slide shimmy

Arrived at my latest spot, put out my big slide and about 3/4 of the way out it started to shimmy .. or shidder, like one side was moving just slightly faster than the other

Visually everything looks fine

This is the slide with the two big arms under it and the teeth

Not sure what the the next step is

I have that system and have had issues. There is one motor with a driveshaft that drives the gears in the rail. If the bolt that connects the shaft to the motor shears (mine did) then the slide will not go in and out properly. I keep my slide waxed, sides and bottom so it slides easily. I use 303 on all the rubber molding. There is some special spray for the gears and rams. Make sure it's adjusted properly as there are some adjustments on it.

1. Make sure the trailer is level
2. Make sure the rear stabilizer is down and tight. Don't overdo this part.
3. Make sure the battery is fully charged.
4. Spray silicone slide lube on both gear racks.

If these things don't help or fix it, then a dealer visit is required.
The Lippert slides are a pain to adjust if you have never done it. Many things have to be looked at for alignment to prevent damage to the slide bottom.

Like Highway 4x4, I keep mine lubed and the bottom polished to prevent issues. When we first got the trailer, the slide went out of adjustment on one side, the height adjustment bolts had loosened and caused the slide to rack. My dealer found it immediately and showed me what to look for. Also, a screw backed out that holds the bottom plastic along the sides, and gouged the flooring. Check these screws!

Good luck getting it working right.

I have another suggestion for you:

Don't wait until you have a need to close the slide, and it won't extend or retract. You can't manually push it it, or pull it out. You have to turn the motor shaft.

I cut a panel in the coroplast sheet near the gear motor bolt that you can turn with a socket wrench or box wrench. Hopefully I'll never need to do this, but others have, and had to struggle to find out how to do this slide manually. My panel cut is 3 sided with the hinge section facing front, sealed with Gorilla tape.

ugh! Well it extended... I then ran it all the way back in, everything was smooth, and I ran it all the way back out again, and it's fine until the last few feet.

Also this happens to be the slide that if it's in, the RV is unusable.

I have a dealer appointment already for a list of stuff, but they were already saying that we couldn't add any more items because "they wouldn't have time"... But I'll have to make sure they find some time.

Hmmm, what did they change on the '18 RLS that makes it unusable? We can do everything with the slide in, except fold out the couch if the grandkids come with us. One recliner chair is blocked as well.
Makes it nice when lot parking at Flying J or Wally World. It was one of my musts when we were shopping for a new trailer.

In the 30 when that slide is closed it pinches off the walkway near the kitchen making the rear inaccessible
