Outdoors RV Creek Side 21RBS - Sofa Option Question

I'm curious about the Sofa Option on the Creek Side RBS.

Do you notice the fold in the mattress when sleeping?

Is the mattress comfortable?

Do you find the sofa is worth the under bed storage you lose?

It appears that the bed with the sofa is 5 1/2" shorter then without the sofa 80" Vs 74 1/2".

We looked at some used trailers with the sofa option on them and they didn't fare so well over time. One couple had placed an egg crate foam pad in the middle to try and make up for lost support but it didn't seem to work to well. I really like the idea because you gain nice living space but a comfortable bed is a must. After all don't you really buy a trailer to have a nice comfortable place to spend 8 hours sleeping, where it is dry and warm? The rest of the time I am outdoors around the fire.

Resurrect this thread from the dead.

Does anyone have this option sit/sleep in either their 21 RBS or 23 BHS?

I'm curious how it has held up and how comfortable the mattress is over time.

It's almost impossible to find a Creekside in Western Canada with that option to look at

It seems that most of the new 23BHS models all have the sofa option. I'm sure someone can weigh in on the comfort/longevity. We searched for the walk around bed model instead. I'm glad we did...it's a very comfy bed plus the under bed storage is great. We keep a couple of folding chairs under the bed in case we need more seating. So far we aren't missing having the couch.

Didn't notice the fold but the mattress itself is uncomfortable. Bought the trailer used this past fall & after spending 2 nights on it I ordered a 3" latex mattress topper but had to winterize before trying it out.

The sofa is great during the daytime.

We have no use for the sit sleep option in our choices of 21RBS or the 23BHS, I guess I'll be shopping in western Canada also.

We believe we will be picking out the 21 RBS as our final choice we want the 60 x 80 bed and as far as the sofa we intend on removing and installing two recliners. I guess due to our age we have no interest in setting up a couch for the day returning it back down and setting up a bed for the night. So if you say that the bed is uncomfortable it's a no way for me being 6 foot four. I'm not trading off quality of sleep at night to have extra couches.

Where will you be putting the two recliners?

I mistyped that, in place of the dinette. Thanks for catching that!

That should be interesting - please post a photo after it is done.

Are you buying new? If so the factory could probably do the work for you.

All the stars need to be in alignment first. The DW wants new, also there are two other trailers on the short list. Each one of the three has some trade off or something that has to be altered to make it work for us. Timing, availability and price will affect the final decision.

I'll have no problem doing the alterations. Pic's? of course!

Similar floor plan in an Arctic Fox. Two recliners in place of the dinette.

Have you looked/considered the new floor plan in the Timber Ridge line?
21 FQS. Similar as the Creek Side 21 FBS floorplan but with heavier axles, 1 foot longer; 9.5 cu ft fridge in the Titanium line and other features over the Creek Side.

Waiting for updates in late January for information/picture releases.
