Removing Recliners?

We just picked up our 2019 Titanium 280RKS last week. Over the weekend we noticed one of the recliners seems broken - like it reclines at an odd sideways angle. So we called the dealer to get a replacement. They want to see if they can repair it first so I guess my husband talked about just bringing the recliner to them and they said the seat backs do not come off of these? Anyone try to remove one of these large swiveling awkward recliners out of one of these narrow trailer doors? Our trailer is not here but i am having a hard time envisioning how this will be done without damaging "something". I thought i have read of people removing the recliners - not sure if they are different ones.

RE: Removing Recliners

Hi there
I have good news for you, so that you don't worry about this until you receive your new RV. We have a 2016 28RKS 5'vr and all things being the same (door width, recliner size) I can verify that your recliner will fit through the doorway. It will take two of you and navigating through the threshold with the recliner in the 'reclined' position sideways.
We thought two recliners and a small table was just too much for the space by the feature window, so we took one out and put it up for sale. Now we have plenty of room and it doesn't seem over-stuffed.
Hope that helps allay your concerns.
Cheers
Glen

Yes, it can be done. 2 strong people, open to reclined position, hold sideways (side down!), and it will fit out the door. We only have one in ours, other one is in house. Orig with 2 dogs, we opted for more floor space.

Thanks everyone. We actually already own it and picked it up (just need to change that signature of mine). We also have 2 dogs and may end up with only one recliner but for now its kind of nice for my husband and i to both have a chair while they hog the couch

And i know about the heavy part and also very awkward because they slide and glide and spin. Just trying to move it out from the wall to use it can be a pain in the you know what. Let alone trying to come out of the chair and get the footrest to close in an easy manner. Not a real fan of the chairs i guess, but maybe just need to get used to them - or get something else down the road.
