Underbed storage

One thing I cannot figure out after looking everywhere -- does the bed lift up for storage in ORV?

I'd think they'd all be the same one way or the other, but I'm considering a 20RD or 20FQ.

Thanks!

IF it has storage in under bed then YES platform lifts up and usually has gas struts to hold open.

Yeah, that's what we have in our Class C, I just can't figure out if that's what it is inside the ORV. Guess I'll have to wait until I get into one in a few weeks!

Yes the bed lifts on struts, in some models the storage area goes clear to the floor. In others (like mine) there is a drawer on each side at floor level and the under bed storage is now quite a deep as the floor.

All ORV units also feature the full pass through exterior storage with cooler sized doors.

Watch out for the struts.....if your bedding is too heavy, they won't hold it up.

Ask my head!

20fq bed lifts up for a good amount of storage shared with the water tank

We have a 2017 / 20FQ. Love it! For anyone checking this thread - ours has struts for the bed, and egwilly is correct, heavy bedding will bring it down. You can up grade to bigger struts aftermarket if desired.

Our unit, 20FQ, has one of the last above floor water tanks. It sits length wise on the driver's side. No drawers like Randy's.

Both have their pros and cons. For us, I'm incredibly grateful to have an above floor tank and slightly less storage. If it we an either/or option I'd pick above floor as we boondock deep in the boonies often over 60+ mi to (potable) water deep in the Rockies. I like truly seeing where I'm at and how much any use 'costs' in depletion.

Some will prefer storage...
