US made tires

A coworker of mine just purchased a set of Goodyear Endurance tires, made in the good old US of A. No more Marathons!
Are these the only ones made in US?

So far. Still too new to have a long term track record. Maxxis does have a good record.

No they are not made in the USA. My buddy just picked up his Timber Ridge 21FQS today with the x4 package and he told me it has the Goodyear Endurance tires. He was on interstate 84 coming out of Pascoe running at 72 mph when I talked to him and he said it towed like a dream. He has 16-inch tires on his new rig.

Even Michelin makes tires here in the US, what's so surprising about it?

Although I have not had to purchase replacement tires since purchasing my ORV Glacier Peak, I have owned two TTs and one other 5er. Each time I had to replace the prematurely and irregularly worn out tires, it seemed only the Chinese made tires were available.
I am extremely happy to know that US versions are available for replacement.

You would be surprised where tires are made. Look at this Consumers Report article for an interesting read.

Where Are Your Tires Made? - Consumer Reports

My coach came with Goodyear Tires on it. The actual tire was made in Thailand! My current Bridgestone ties were made in Italy. Did you know Michelin has more consumer tire production capacity in the U.S. than any other tire company?

I did find one set of tires made in the Good Old USA

only 1 rules applies: caveat emptor.

all brands will seek the lowest cost options. where is irrelevant. only the standard is relevant. in my 40 years of use, Michelin has never compromised its standards: they have always been among the best for me. Goodyear has compromised, giving me many reasons to dump this brand.

I believe "Boar" tires are yet manufactured in USA, and the price reflects this. Sailun is from Asia, and a very good tire.

good to have some honest competition now.

Goodyear Endurance tires are made in America. I towed my cargo trailer over 8000 miles this summer loaded to the brim with the new Endurance tires. They are a cut above any trailer tire on the market. The old Marathon tires were made overseas, but not the Endurance trailer tires....

I am confused...why does the country of origin (where something is made) have a bearing on the quality of the product?
My Ram was assembled in Mexico from parts from the USA and Canada and who knows where else..the iPhone is built in China. To say that tires built in China are inferior is puzzling, I could say the same thing about the quality issues with my trailer and it’s made in the “good ole USA “
IMHO

What tires do you have on your TT? Made in China? I would not buy dog food, baby food, tooth paste, and many other things made in China. Maybe their tires are good, not going to find out myself.
