I haven't noticed much surging in ours. Maybe a little when we first open the taps after travelling but once the lines are full it runs pretty steady. Pressure is different from being on city water but works fine.

I run the water pump if the shore water pressure is low... (to increase the water pressure in the coach when showering).

I have never done that but anywhere we have been hooked up to shore water the pressure has not been an issue. I will have to try that if we encounter low pressure while hooked to shore water.
