Water tank fills when hooked to park water

Hello,
2013 Timber Ridge 250 RDS
My fresh water tank will fill when I am hooked to the park water.
A check valve somewhere?
Thank you
Ed

Your water pump has a one way valve to keep water from flowing into your tank. It may be shot.

Most likely problem is the check valve at the water pump letting water back flow to the tank. The way I solved the problem on 2 or 3 RVs was to put a manual quarter turn ball valve in the pump outlet. Just remember to open it if you plan to use the tank water.

It's the check valve built into the pump.
Mine went out a few months after getting the trailer.
ORV sent me a new pump.

Meanwhile you can just turn off the winterizing bypass valve going to the tank when on city water.

Just run the water pump and clear the debris that is holding pump check valve open.....usually cleans up by time you have used a full fresh water tank
