Zamp solar promo

Who all took advantage of the zamp solar promo and how did you get it? When did you get it?

My dealer filled out a form and was supposed to send it in. I saw a form filled out, not sure how long it will take. I was just thinking about this too, glad you started a thread to keep track of when the kits start arriving.

I saw a bunch on the their shelf, but they said I had to get it from Zamp? Like you, they filled out the form...no idea what it said or to whom its going to.

dealer fills out the form and sends it in. I don't know if it ships from zamp or outdoorsRV.

I'll be watching this thread. I saw something about this previously and asked my dealer, but he said it was a US only promotion and nothing for Canada. So if any Canucks get one please speak up as I'd love one of those!

It comes direct from Zamp. Dealer did our paperwork 3 weeks ago. Supposed to take around 6 weeks. I'll post when I see it!

I bought our WindRiver in Febuary, the form said that if you purchased a Outdoor RV trailer that between certain dates that you would receive a 80 watt Zamp solar panel. Click image for larger version

I picked up my Glacier Peak on 3/3/16. Filled out the form and the dealer sent it off to ORV. UPS is delivering the solar kit today, so it only took about a month to receive the kit. Mine shows the kit is shipping from ORV, not Zamp, not that it makes much difference.

That claim of a "$599 value" is almost laughable. 200 watts of portable solar was not much more than that at Discount Solar in Quartzsite.

I know it's too late to change the marketing materials, but it always frustrates me a little to assume that a large part of your audience is that gullible. There's an app for checking the actual retail prices, and what individual stores will sell something for.

In case anyone is wondering, I got 200 watts of ZAmp portable solar and a 115 amp/hr deep cycle AGM battery for under a grand at Discount Solar. It works very well for running the laptop and a 100watt HF radio.

I did check several online stores for this particular part number and found the average price was $500 for this kit.

Do you have a link to this particular kit at discount solar?

Either way, free is free.

Ok, you got me there. Discount Solar in Q doesn't do any online or mail order sales. You gotta show up to get their good prices.

Well most of us can't make it to Quartzsite so that sort of rules that out. I'm close enough to where I can go to zamp solar directly. Too bad they don't do direct sales. But perhaps there's a dealer around their facility that may offer deep discounts.

I'd be interested too! Anyone in Canada get this?
