1994 Rexall Airex Owner's Manual
Hi everyone
My wife and I recently purchased a 1994 Rexall Airex 31' RV.
Unfortunately, there is no owner's manual. I contacted Rexall, and they don't have any.
Does anybody know where I can find one?
Thanks!
Mike

Owners Manual
Hi Mike, to bad the previous owner didn't leave the manuals in her. Generally I think the Rexhall models of that era used the same equipment in them. My 1995 has a 460 FORD F53 chassis. It would be a lot of copying but you would have a manual.
I also have for sale on this website in there for sale ads, a brand new never opened 3 book set of FORD WORKSHOP MANUALS. They tell you how to fix anything on the F53 chassis. I find mine to be invaluable.

We have just bought a 1994 Airex with just 19,000 miles on the clock.
We will also need a manual, as we are in NZ and the USA motor homes are quite different in regard to their fittings. (So much better)!
We have no idea how the generator works - does it run off the motor fuel?
We don't as a rule use them here, unless they are an external unit for running medical oxygen equipment and the sort. Most use either LPG, (propane), batteries or mains power if in a motor camp.
Lots to learn, but the forum is a great help.

Unless it's been modified, it should run on motor fuel. I'm not sure of the exact level, but if your gas tank reaches a certain level, say 3/4 empty, the generator won't run. That's a feature to prevent you from emptying your gas tank while running the generator. It has to be maintained just like a gas engine. Change the oil, oil filter, etc. Also, run it 30 minutes per month. That cycles old fuel through the carb, and also helps drive moisture out of the windings.

Thank you so much for that John - wouldn't have even thought about fuels levels etc. So helpful!

That would be great, thank you. My dealer thinks the manuals may be in the vehicle, but is yet to check.
One owner, and only 19,000 miles, so it could be likely. I'll let you know.
