Need advice about buying a 1999 Rexhall 25V

Hi, I’m new to the forums, but I’m thinking about buying a 1999 Rexhall 25V from a private owner.

It’s a one owner vehicle with 92,600 miles. He tells me it’s in excellent condition but needs the carb on the generator repaired for a stuck needle valve. It’s lived it’s whole life in Tucson. He’s asking $9900 for it which is well below NADA value.

Any opinions, buying advice or things to look for? Thanks in advance, Tom.

I've seen this unit advertised on Craigslist. My advice would be to have the entire motorhome pre-buy inspected including generator by a qualified RV mechanic. If you decide to buy, Simonsen Generator in Tucson does a good job on Gens.
SIMONSEN GENERATOR SERVICE, INC Providing service, replacement parts and sales for all your generator needs

Good luck

Thank you for the suggestion. I do appreciate it. I planned on having a pre-purchase inspection done on this RV if I choose to buy it or any other one. Can you recommend a good dealer or independent firm for the inspection?

I'm sorry tada, I don't know of any. I'm a certified aircraft mechanic and did my own pre-buy when I bought my Rexhall.
Here's a link to a GoodSam article on what to look for when buying a used MH.

Hope this helps you.
